VCAD USAGE
When can I start using vcad?
Once your first payment has gone through and your subscription has become active, you may start using Vcad. Upload your files and download the available Power BI templates.
What kind of viewers does Vcad use?
When uploading the file, you can choose which viewer to use, the Open viewer or the Autodesk Forge® viewer.
What file formats does Vcad handle?
Vcad is able to handle files in .ifc .rvt .nwd .nwc .obj .stl and .dwg formats.
What formats can I use with the Open Viewer?
The Open viewer can only handle files in .ifc format.
What formats can I use with the Autodesk Forge® viewer?
Autodesk’s Forge® viewer can manage files in .ifc, .rvt, .nwd, .nwc, .obj, .stl and .dwg formats.
How can I activate the Autodesk Forge viewer?
To use the Forge viewer you need to create an account on the Autodesk Forge® portal and after that, enable your account on the Vcad site.
SLOTS
What is a slot?
A slot is the holder of a BIM file.
Based on the type of subscription plan, the user will have access to a set number of slots. This means they will be able to create unlimited reports with a set number of models at a time
How many files can I load in a single slot?
You can only upload one file in a slot.
The number of slots is the number of concurrent models the user can create reports with at any time. Once a project is completed the slot can be cleared and used with a new model and you can upload a new file.
How can I add more slots to my subscription?
If you wish to add slots to your subscription, you can do so by clicking on the UPGRADE button in the MY ACCOUNT page.
Before upgrading your subscription check the expiry date of your old subscription, by purchasing a new subscription plan you will lose the right to use the remaining days.
How can I reduce the number of slots in my subscription
If you wish to reduce the number of slots at your disposal, you will have to terminate your active account by clicking on the CANCEL button. Once you have terminated your old subscription you may select a new subscription plan.

How to activate the trial subscription.
The trial subscription lasts 10 days and you can only upload one file at a time.
How to activate a payment subscription.
Once you have registered on our website you will be able to select the subscription plan that best suits your needs.
You may purchase a subscription plan when you register or later on going to MY ACCOUNT page.
Types of subscription.
There are two types of subscription linked to the duration, monthly or annual. They can vary according to the needs of the customer.
The monthly subscription must be activated from our website and pay for by credit card. The cost varies according to the number of slots purchased; the payment will be made automatically every 30 days until it is canceled.
The annual subscription works in the same way as the monthly, when done from the website. Wen applying for the yearly subscription you will also get a two month discount.
For purchases of more than 50 slots, payment must be by bank transfer.
How can I renew my subscription?
You don’t need to renew your subscription.
Until you decide to cancel your subscription, it will be automatically renewed.
If payment is made by bank transfer, renewal will not be automatic, but you will need to request renewal by email.
How can I cancel my subscription?
At any moment you can decide to cancel your subscription.
To cancel the subscription click on the CANCEL button in the MY ACCOUNT page.
Once you have canceled your subscription you will no longer have access to the custom visual and your reports will stop working.
What is the refund policy?
If you have decided to cancel your subscription, you may benefit from our money back guarantee. The refund must be requested within 14 days from the last payment. You will be refunded the cost of the last 30 days of use of our service.
