Thanks to Vcad for Bim 360® it’s possible to automatically generate a series of predefined templates ready to use, with tons of new information coming from BIM 360®. You will be able to create reports using Bim 360® metadata and project information.
Basically we no longer have to generate reports based exclusively on a single model. We can actually create reports based on more complex information even coming from multiple models of the project at the same time.

With Bim 360® and the Diff tool extension it is possible to check the differences in the models. Now what we want is to able to do that inside of a Power BI report. So we created a specific template that manages exactly this.
In this example we have a comparison between two different versions of the same model in Autodesk Bim 360®.
You can add external data sources to the template and it can be edited like any normal Power BI template, then you can save it as a report and share it with everyone.
Having access to this information for business intelligence linked to other external data sources really opens the doors to an infinite number of analysis that can be made and we are really only limited by our imagination.
All of this in an automated fashion combined with the use of templates also encourages rapid report creation and the standardization of reporting within a company.
